What is River City Buttons?

River City Buttons is a small, independent business, owned and operated by Jeff Nygaard.  I personally design and manufacture custom buttons in four different sizes, and I also design, to your specifications, decals, bumper stickers, plastic cards, lawn signs, and various other promotional and educational items.

River City Buttons is owned by, and all the buttons are made by, Jeff Nygaard.  River City Buttons is a UNION SHOP, a proud member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 880.

I get lots of help in the design operation from Richard Kees at Kees Graphics, and the production of these non-button items is done at another union shop with which I contract, called Gill-Line.

River City Buttons is located in the River City of Minneapolis Minnesota, about a half-mile from the Mississippi River, at 3745 Minnehaha Avenue.  River City Buttons shares the space with the Ricardo Levins Morales Art Studio (rlmarts.com) which creates and distributes art on labor and social justice themes.

The buttons are high-quality, round, metal buttons, with safety-pin backs and a durable clear plastic seal over the design on the front. 

Available sizes are 1&1/4", 1&3/4", 2&1/4", and 3".

There is no minimum order at River City Buttons. However, the more buttons you order, the cheaper is each individual button. For example, a single unique button will cost you $7.50. If you get ten of that same button, each one only costs $1.50. And if you get 500 buttons, they will only be 30 to 35 cents each.

Your design can include any combination of colors and fonts. There is no extra charge for extra colors or fancy things. (Unless they’re really fancy and you want me to design it for you. In that case, let’s talk about it.)
